ABOUT PENELOPE

Penelope d'Arcy Graham is a British cake artist based in Dubai, creating bespoke cakes and edible art for extraordinary celebrations around the world. With more than two decades of international experience, her work brings together a distinctive background in art, fashion, design and pâtisserie.

Originally trained in Textile and Fashion Design in London, Penelope began her creative career in costume design at the BBC. Her fascination with form, texture and visual storytelling eventually led her into the world of cake artistry, where she discovered an entirely new medium through which to express her creativity.

Her career has taken her around the world. After training with renowned cake designer Peggy Porschen, she went on to manage the celebrated Peggy Porschen cake team in Belgravia, work with Rosalind Miller Cakes and lead the Squires Kitchen International School. She subsequently established her own international cake artistry business, creating bespoke commissions across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

In 2023, Penelope relocated to Dubai, joining Atlantis The Royal. Her work in the UAE has included prestigious royal and diplomatic commissions, including cakes created on behalf of His Majesty King Charles III for British diplomatic celebrations, alongside commissions for members of the UAE's Royal Families, international celebrities and private clients.

Today, working independently from her Dubai studio, Penelope draws upon her international career and extensive creative experience to produce highly individual cakes and edible installations for weddings, private celebrations and luxury events worldwide.

Inspired by the people, places and occasions she creates for, Penelope approaches each commission as an individual piece of art, exploring proportion, texture, movement and detail to create something entirely personal.
